I'm going to Hawaii tomorrow! Yay! We're going to Oahu and staying at this hotel that I can't remember the name of...=S But anyway, it should be fun cause we're going to go snorkelling, shopping and swimming with dolphins! I'm extremely excited but I'm also kinda disapointed because my mum canceled the cruise we were supposed to go on cause my dad's flight times don't fit properly. =[ Anyway...I don't really have much to write about but I wanted to write something because I haven't for ages...

Also, for any of my friends that read this, I'm really missing you guys! I can't wait 'till I'm seeing you next and I love you all. <3

Summer's Almost Here...*sigh*

Sorry about the late post but I just thought of something to write about. A few minutes ago I was thinking about all of my friends and how I'll miss them over the summer break. I know I should be happy about the nine week break from school, during which I'll be heading back to Australia for a few weeks and going on a cruise around the Hawaiian islands, but I can't stop thinking about how much I'll miss everyone here. It's kind of sad really. I know that I'll be coming back for year (grade) eight but I still don't want to leave all of my fabulous friends. =[ Anyway, I should probably get going...One week 'till summer break!

The Kooks

Heyy~!

I wanted to tell you about this band that I'm currently falling in love with. They're called The Kooks and they have some amazing songs. My two favourites are 'Naive' and 'Ooh La' but some other good ones are: 'Seaside', 'You Don't Love Me' and 'She Moves In Her Own Way'. I would recommend searching them on youtube or something because their music is seriously addicting. Anyway, I'm going to bed now, bye!

The Notebook

Heyy~!

I wanted to tell you about one of the best movies ever made and it's one of my favourites. The movie is called 'The Notebook'. Some of my friends like it too but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes romance movies. After all, its the most romantic movie ever produced. Its an adaptation of a book and the main characters are Noah & Allie (played by Ryan Gosling & Rachel McAdams).


This movie made me cry and warmed my heart. There are some funny scenes too but the characters are so believable and you just want to follow their journey and feel what they feel. The best scene in the movie is where they kiss in the rain. This is what they say:

Young Allie: Why didn't you write me? Why? It wasn't over for me, I waited for you for seven years. But now it's too late.
Young Noah: I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you everyday for a year.

School & Holidays

Heyy~!

Today I was thinking about why our schooling system at international schools is so bad. I mean, we have holidays or long weekends all the time and I think its really a waste of our money. TIS is always pressuring us and our parents to dig into our pockets and fork out money for charities that we only hear about. We don't actually experience or know about fully. Even the Summer Bash that's happening soon. We go to school and not learn anything. What we're supposed to be paying for is education and solid foundations but all we're getting is fun and games. This Summer Bash that's happening was created by students but the teachers authorised it. That just goes to show how slack they are with trying to get us to actually learn something. If you ask me, the summer bash should be held after school or even on the last day when we're only cleaning up anyway.

Another thing I'd like to say is, next year for year eight its tradition to go to China for our feild trip and its so we can learn more for the China unit. But now they want us to go to Cambodia. I kinda think this is wrong. I mean, if we go to Cambodia we have to help out at the school there and everything but we won't be learning much and, besides, all of the year eights before us have gotten to go to China, so why not us? Anyway, I'll stop rambling now. Bye!

Mothers' Day, Swine Flu & Music Class

Heyy~!

Mothers' Day is coming up. Are you doing anything special for your mum? I know I am. I'm currently waiting for her to leave the house for a few hours so I can bake this cake that I found the recipe for on the internet. Unfortunately, however, she is being very difficult and is trying to find reasons to stay. And if you haven't already, maybe you should give some thought as to what you're going to do tomorrow.

Also, I know that its really important and all but I honestly don't see why people are freaking out so much over the swine flu. I mean hundreds of Americans die every year from the normal flu so shouldn't we be worrying about that? I mean, we should be careful and all but I wouldn't freak out too much. Its kind of disrespectful but I wanted to share with you something that I read on a flair on facebook. If you can't read it it says: People said a black man would be president "when pigs fly"...100 days after Obama took office...Swine Flu (I thought it was pretty funny...)

The last thing I want to tell you is about this task for music class. We have to write a song with lyrics and music and I'm finding it really annoying. I have the lyrics and the majority of music but there's this one verse that I cant get any music to fit. Its incredibly frustrating. Anyway...I might put up the final product in a couple of weeks if I'm happy with it. And again I'm sorry about the gap between my posts but I haven't been able to think of anything to write, hopefully this makes up for it. I'll let you go now, bye!

Today's Plans...

Heyy~!

Nothing much happening today. I went to TAC for lunch and other then homework that's about it. My sisters birthday party last night was actually pretty good; I managed to get some sleep at least. I did their make-up and hair and stuff this morning so that was my contribution to her birthday.

I'm really bored so I'll just tell you about my lunch, I hope you don't mind, and I promise I won't be offended if you don't read the rest of this post. =] Anyway, we went to lunch and I had a Chinese chicken salad which was yummy, so I'm glad. I also saw Alex (from grade eight) but other then that it was boring. If any of you kept reading this, I'm sorry its so lame but I have nothing else to say...I'll let you go now, bye!

Heyy~!

My sister's birthday is coming up and to celebrate she's invited her friends over for sleepover. The house will be overrun by fifth graders and to top it all off I have to sit through an entire dinner with them. Talk about living hell!

Anyway, other than that not much is happening. Sam and Amaury came over today and we played monopoly which was kinda fun. Except it ended up in them insulting me...I know my posts are getting shorter so I'll try and fix that but for now, I have homework to do, so, bye!

Heyy! The Concert Is Over! =]

Heyy~!

The concert was great!! The little kids were sooo cute. Especially the preschoolers, they were absolutely adorable. ^^ I thought our drama performance was near perfect too. I only stuffed up once and it was tiny too so I'm totally greatful for that. I only stuffed up because Antione (the funny guy) couldn't get the kazoo to work and that was hilarious and I had to force myself to stop laughing. After that I just muddled up two of my lines but it didn't really matter because I stopped early and fixed it. I wasn't even nervous which was cool because I thought I'd be freaking out (instead of me, Amaury was freaking out ^^) but when we got there I was just happy and excited. Our Middle School performance was pretty good too. I don't think anyone messed up or forgot where they were supposed to be. It was all just a lot of fun. I'll post some pictures on here too after they get put on facebook. Anyway, I should probably go to bed, I'm kinda tired.

Charity Concert Today =]

Past, Present & Future.

Ok, for everyone that was involved in the mess up between us on the Friday before the Cherry Blossom Fair, you might want to read this...(It's basically the story on why I wasn't exactly willing to patch things up with you guys).

So I ever since I was in kindergarten I've had two best friends, and only two. I kind of did this on purpose because I didn't like being around a bunch of people all the time. When there was only three of us we could have real conversations without everyone trying to be heard at the same time and I could tell them my deepest darkest secrets without everyone in the school knowing. So between my years in kindergarten through to year four it was just me and my two best friends, Holli & Santi. But then this girl named Maddie came to our school and she was really mean and stuck up and everything but somehow she turned Santi against us. And Santi became really bitchy and mean and everything and so a lot of people got annoyed by her. The thing is though, Maddie was only at our school for like two years and then she moved but in that she managed to make Santi totally different and had convinced her to spill all of mine and Holli's secrets to practically the whole school. We had told her everything and she just turned on us. We felt absolutely horrible after that but at least we still had eachother. Except then Holli moved to Adelaide. I felt really alone but luckily my other friends, Margaret & Tina, were there for me which was really nice of them considering we wern't exactly best friends before that. We are totall besties now though which is awesome and I miss them so much and can't wait to go back and see them.

Anyway, you know how they say history never repeats itself? Well in my case it kind of has. A bunch of my friends turned on me for no apparent reason and I felt horrible. Luckily there were two people who were there for me, whom I'm totally thankful for, and I now only have two best friends again. I didn't really want to patch things up with you guys because I don't know if I'm capable of dealing with almost everyone knowing my major secrets. But I am really sorry that it had to happen like this because I know its really traumatic for all of us. I hope we can still be friends, just maybe not bestfriends, you know? Please tell me what you think and we should try and sort this out now so it doesn't come back to bite us in the future. Just remember, I love all of you guys and I would hate to move back to Australia with a bad memory of you all.

By the way, anyone who wasn't involved and has read this please tell me what we could do to sort it out, thanks heaps!

Cherry Blossom Fair & Friends Again.

Heyy~!

Yesterday was the annual Cherry Blossom Fair. It was a pretty good day overall however some of my so called 'friends' brought my mood down a bit. Which is really quite sad when you think about it. I mean, it feels absolutely horrible to be having a great day and then someone you thought was your friend starts being mean to you for no apparent reason. Long story short: the majority of girls at school now hate me for a reason that is unknown, well to me at least and the girls that go to my school are extremely shallow. I'm just glad that theres those few people that are nice enough to still be my friend and care enough to hear my side of the story, Marina, Zeyn and Amaury for example. But its kind of sad how the majority of my friends are now boys...

Anyway. I kinda wanted to write about something I've learned. This something is something that I first learn't when I was in about year five in Australia and has now come to my attention again, in year seven in Japan. Basically what I've learn't is that sometimes it's better to have only two or three best friends. I think its better this way because something I've realised is the more people that call themselves your 'friends', the more people know your secrets and have leverage to hurt you the most. I know it sounds kind of sad or lame or whatever but I guess, in a way, the less people that know stuff about you the better because you can't be hurt as easily. Well maybe this is just my opinion or maybe its true for other people as well? Please comment and tell me what you think.

It's A Friday Today....

Ok, first of all I couldn't think of a good title. Now on to more pressing matters....Yesterday. Yesterday Amaury kissed me for the first time. It was amazing. Now either you want to hear the story or you are sick of reading my posts about Amaury. If you want to hear the story keep reading. If you are sick of hearing about my love life stop reading right now. I mean it. Stop right here.

Well now thats taken care of, let me start with the story. As usual Amaury had walked me home after school. We spent about 20minutes trying to get my sister to leave so we could have some time alone and when she finally did leave we sat and had a conversation at the bottom of my building for about half an hour. Then when he got up to leave he gave me a hug and then he kissed me! And I admit I'm not very good at explaining things so I'm sorry about that but oh well.

Anyway...Something else I wanted to tell you about is somade me feel really bad. I had only been gone for a month and they had seen each other for a week and they just seemed to be sooo comfortable with each other.me arguments that have been going on between my former best friend and I. We used to be really close up until winter break. I stayed in Australia with my family for an extra week while most of my friends were back at school. But when I got back to Tokyo and went to school again my so called best friend and boyfriend were getting really comfortable with each other! I mean, how would you feel if your best friend and boyfriend were getting cozy? I mean, come on! It was so obvious that they were flirting with each other and I just felt like I was in the way. Anyway, it's been four whole months and we're still fighting and we're not best friends anymore. But the real problem is that its between me and her but she's trying to get our other friends on her 'side'. And to be honest I don't even get why there's sides if its between me and her. Why can't our friends just be left out of it? Why do they have to decide who is more worthy of support? Anyway, if you have any possible answers to any of these questions please comment!

Heyy Guyz,

Sorry I haven't updated this thing in a while, it's just I've been a bit busy because my school was on spring break. I'm pretty tired at the moment because we went back to school yesterday and the last two night we've had homework! Anyway....One of my best friends is moving today so that's a bit sad. Another thing that's sad is I've already run out of things to say. Okay....Let me think for a moment and I'll keep writing soon...

Okay, so I've thought of something and here it is (by the way its not very interesting). I went to see Marley & Me the other day and now I really wanna read the book! It was a really good movie but it was kinda sad when the dog was put down. =[ And I would know...I had to get one of the best dogs in the world put down and I was at the vet with my mum and sister (my dad was at work) and he got the shot. His eyes closed slowly and he lay his head in between his legs and it all happened so fast. My mum started crying after that and it was truly horrible. I know quite a few people who get their pets stuffed after they die but we got him cremated and now he sits in this little jar underneath a tree he used to love in my backyard. We really miss him and everything but its kinda nice to think that hes still sitting under that tree in the backyard...

Wow...Look at how much I wrote even though I said I couldn't think of anything!! Anyway, there's a bit of a childhood story for you. By the way, I have a Japanese test next Wednesday so wish me luck!

Well, there's not much to talk about but my Dad's arriving in Japan soon, he should be here at 9 o'clock. So apart from that nothing much is happening lately. We went to see the movie 'Australia' today and I thought it was really, really good! By the way, there's parent teacher conferences tomorrow so wish me luck!

Cherry Blossom Season 2009...& Other Things... 04/06/2009

So there are some amazing cherry blossoms around at the moment and I've managed to take a bunch of pictures so I'll upload them on the Pictures page. I hope you like them ^^Also, I have some info if you promise not to tell anyone!! So here it is....^^ I walked home with my friend Marina and my boyfriend Amaury today (<---see the difference between those two words: friend & boyfriend? Anyway, I should probably get back to the story--->) and we stopped and talked for a bit before Marina and her sister had to go. So Amaury and I were left there, still talking and all alone. We were there for another 10 minutes before he had to go and as usual he moved in to hug me, and I did the same. As he pulled away after holding me for what seemed a very long time (but, trust me, I'm not complaining!) and kissed me on the cheek. Then he looked me right in the eyes and told me he loved me. I was so surprised! I mean, after all, this is something that he’s never actually said to me before., he’s typed it to me on text messages and skype but never actually said it in words. All I could do was look into those gorgeous eyes of his and say 'I Love You Too'. Then he said he really had to go and I replied by saying 'Yeh, 'course, bye'. It made me so happy and the only thing that could have made it better was if he'd kissed me, on the lips. (Again, something hes never done before, but I'm hoping he'll do it soon....Also if you guys could drop hints for me, that would be great!! But I guess I do understand, after all, hes never kissed a girl before). Well, I hope you like my story!!

I cried myself to sleep last night, just thinking about you. 04/04/2009


Heyy,

So, something happened yesterday that made me rethink almost everything in my life: Was moving to Japan the right decision? Are my friends really my friends? What do I want my life to be like in the future? And most importantly: Who can we really trust? Have you ever felt like that? Has something ever happened to you that made you change the way you think? I mean, have you ever felt like suddenly everything you thought about something or someone has changed, all because of one incident? Usually its something stupid too. Like something happened and this person you thought you knew said something completely unlike them, or they make you feel really bad about yourself and its not like them, even if they don't know it. If you haven't already figured it out, something like this happened to me yesterday and now I simply don't know what to do. I can no longer tell whether I can trust this person with my deepest, darkest secrets or if he's still the person I met a year and a half ago. I just wish I could relive that day and make everything normal again, or at least have some guidance about this. I just don't know what to do anymore.

Another Day....Just what I need.... 04/03/2009

Well. My life is very crappy at the moment, just to let you know. I have a lot of stuff to say, but I don't know how to say it. And it's important too, for important people. So, if you have any ideas on how to fix this, please help!!

Anyway...I have to go to another dog adoption event tomorrow and they are so boring. Luckily there's a great park right next to the place with beautiful cherry blossoms so it should be alright (that's what I'm hoping anyway). Also, it's my boyfriend's birthday tomorrow, so if he ever reads this:

I'm pretty tired at the moment because we went back to school yesterday and the last two night we've had homework! Anyway....One of my best friends is moving today so that's a bit sad. Another thing that's sad is I've already run out of things to say. LOL Okay....Let me think for a moment and I'll keep writing soon...

Okay, so I've thought of something and here it is (by the way its not very interesting). I went to see Marley & Me the other day and now I really wanna read the book! It was a really good movie but it was kinda sad when the dog was put down. =[ And I would know...I had to get one of the best dogs in the world put down and I was at the vet with my mum and sister (my dad was at work) and he got the shot. His eyes closed slowly and he lay his head in between his legs and it all happened so fast. My mum started crying after that and it was truly horrible. I know quite a few people who get their pets stuffed after they die but we got him cremated and now he sits in this little jar underneath a tree he used to love in my backyard. We really miss him and everything but its kinda nice to think that hes still sitting under that tree in the backyard...

Wow...Look at how much I wrote even though I said I couldn't think of anything!! Anyway, there's a bit of a childhood story for you. By the way, I have a Japanese test next Wednesday so wish me luck!xo.Lauren

Well, there's not much to talk about but my Dad's arriving in Japan soon, he should be here at 9 o'clock. So apart from that nothing much is happening lately. We went to see the movie 'Australia' today and I thought it was really, really good! By the way, there's parent teacher conferences tomorrow so wish me luck!

So, obviously I've either been to busy or too lazy to write a blog entry lately and I'm sorry about that but you can take your pick on which one it is. =] To be honest, nothing much has happened lately anyway. School is school, my sisters are still getting on my nerves but apart from that everything is ok.

I'm sleeping over at Caitlin's place tonight. We should really be studying for our Japanese test tomorrow but we can't be stuffed.
